Punctuation is Important: The Face of The Divine

The word surrender means the surrendering of one’s mind to the Lotus Feet of the Lord. That in fact is what one has to surrender. The Lord has everything else as you know! But your mind when it is surrendered to the Lotus Feet of the Lord gains peace, it gains happiness, it gains joy, it gains freedom. As long as one does not surrender the mind, one is a slave of the mind.

The true Self of man is Satchidananda.
Sat – Being, and through Sat – existence.
Only as a mere human, without realizing the Chid and Ananda,
You can’t come to the point of complete realization only with
This one aspect of Sat.

You can’t come to the point of complete realization only with
The two aspects of Chid and Ananda.
Chid – Consciousness
And then this Ananda – bliss.

So the human being is Satchidananda—
The body, the mind and the soul, which is everlasting.

-Sri Swami Vishwananda

A SHORT STORY
The following little story demonstrates beautifully how our social conditioning from the cradle to the grave influences our lives. It clearly shows how the minds of men and women think we are separate from each other, everything and God. It is only when we control our minds and surrender to the Unity of The Divine Love within our hearts that we attain the Divine. If we do not learn how to control our minds and protract or extend this ego-mind-control into the Heart and remember what is spiritually right, we reincarnate again and again. This is how life works on this planet. The Avatars, the Spiritual Teachers like Sri Swami Vishwananda and Mahavatar Babaji come from higher planes of existence to help us control our minds, find the Love which we truly are within our Hearts, become free and, thereby, attain The Divine. It is said: “The longest journey in life is just those 18 inches from head to Heart!

Story: Punctuation is Important

An
English professor wrote on the whiteboard the words:
"A woman without her man is nothing"
He asked his students to correctly punctuate this sentence.

The males in the class punctuated the sentence this way:
"A woman
, without her man, is nothing.
"

The females in the class punctuated the sentence this way:
"A woman
: without her, man is nothing."

The Face of the Divine

There’s just something about that beautiful face!
In Darshan, it moves the smallest child,
And a babe just born, when he whispers
Eternal secrets into its tiny ear! . . .
And an old person wrinkled and tired
Living in time’s doorway.
Yes! and even a young girl and boy
In the first throes of human love,
Who forgets the other,
In that timeless moment
Of looking into the Guru's eternal, mystical eyes.
There is just something about that face !!!

A ransom was paid so that face could appear
In our world today.
The Avatar descends unto this beautiful
Blue and white planet, as observed from space,
From the Heavenly realms to put a Face
On the formless God for mankind.

Then man can relate to this personal God.
One known as Vishnu appeared as a Fish,
A Dwarf, a Boar and Part-lion—Part-man.
And then -- BEHOLD. . .

Narayana-Vishnu appeared as Krishna,
The one who attracts,
In an other-worldly, beautiful BLUE form
To attract the eyes and hearts of humankind first,
And then the eternal teachings followed their own plan!

Christ Jesus showed us the compassionate way:
Greater Love hath no one than he who
would give up his life for others. . .his fellowman.”

Our own Sri Swami Vishwananda
Appeared just like the Great Lord Krishna,
In our day and our time
With . . .
Well . . .
There is just something about that
Beautiful, Beloved-ed BROWN Face,
This time,
That words alone cannot describe
Or even attempt to explain!

So let it be as you look into His
Eyes of Eternity in Darshan. . .
Open your Heart to Love,
That which he radiates and
Teaches each day of his life!
And then you will know also
About him . . .
That which cannot ever
Sufficiently be spoken
In mere words of man.

There is just something about that
Mystical, ethereal, magnificent, Divine God-Face !!!
Om and Amen!
